Abstract

Heydar Aliyev is a great leader, a prominent representative of political diplomacy of the late 20th – early 21st centuries. He carried the responsibility for Azerbaijan on his shoulders, as a citizen, personality and leader, and brought his state and people out of trials. This man, who became the national and moral value of his people, possessed all the qualities of a statesman, thinker, politician, wise old man, strategist, diplomat and ideologist. The research work analyzed and briefly discussed the historical merits, far-sighted policies and high socio-political heritage of the world-famous leader, who paid great attention to the national and moral values of the Azerbaijani people. Protecting and developing the Azerbaijani language, national and moral values, adapting our education to world standards, building an army, taking our place as a state in the international world - these are the main priorities that were laid down during the reign of Geylar Aliyev and remain relevant to this day. The founding of modern Azerbaijan is generally associated with the name of Heydar Aliyev. It is no coincidence that in many modern studies, the promotion of his rich heritage, his ideas about moral, ethical and patriotic education is an important task for the education of modern youth, as well as for the development of our modern pedagogy.
