Abstract

In the difficult historical time of Azerbaijan's new independence, the return of national leader Heydar Aliyev to political power in the second half of 1993 created conditions for the approval of the idea of independent statehood. After that, practical changes were made to the course of Azerbaijan's foreign policy, taking into account modern realities and aimed at protecting the national interests of our country. Our foreign policy, carried out since this period, is connected with the name of the national leader and his activities. In this updated foreign policy line of President Heydar Aliyev, who determined the important directions of the new foreign policy course of our state on the basis of Heydar Aliyev's rich governmental experience, first of all, the implementation of a number of important and urgent tasks was set.
