Abstract

In cooperation with this prestigious organization, the Republic of Azerbaijan seeks to effectively develop the national economy, fully integrate the national economy into the European economic and financial space, constantly increase its role and importance in the pan-European processes. Multilateral cooperation with the European Union is defined as one of the important directions in the foreign policy doctrine of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, signed between the European Union and Azerbaijan in 1996, serves as the basis for such important processes as political dialogue, support for the development of democratic institutions, economic cooperation and investment promotion. The assistance provided by the European Union is aimed at accelerating the process of reforms in Azerbaijan and the implementation of various projects. All these factors contribute to the development of the Azerbaijani economy thanks to the successful policy of Heydar Aliyev.
