Abstract: The important features of using vermicompost in contrast to synthetic mineral fertilizers are discussed. The use of organic fertilizers, especially vermicompost, is important in the production of high-quality, environmentally friendly food products. Regardless of the amount applied to the soil, when using vermicompost, the fertilizer is completely absorbed in the soil and there is no excess accumulation. Increases plant resistance to diseases and pests. In addition, unlike mineral fertilizers, vermicompost does not contain heavy metal salts, radioactive compounds, etc., various harmful mixtures, and therefore these substances accumulate in the soil and plants and do not become a source of environmental pollution. When biohumus gets into the soil, it gives it a more granular structure. The use of vermiculture solves the problem of providing the soil with environmentally friendly humus, as well as preventing environmental pollution from waste pollution. All industrial and household waste can be used for composting, except metals. Methods for preparing and using vermicompost are indicated. The advantages of using vermicompost are noted, as well as the economic effect obtained from the use of this method. The use of vermicompost not only in crop production, but also in livestock and poultry farming creates conditions for the purchase of environmentally friendly food products.
