dc.description.abstractProtection of the environment is the direct key to obtaining healthy food. In addition to the information provided on the packaging of some recently produced food products, information is also provided that the product is obtained in ecologically clean conditions and non-genetically modified products are not used. Pollution of the environment leads to abnormal vitality of living beings and plants, and its entry leads to pollution in the living world. The role of heavy metals and organic pollutants in this direction causes very serious consequences. Exposure of nitrogen oxides to the atmosphere leads to the formation in photochemical smog of such polluting compounds as peroxyacetylnitrate, which possess mutagenic and carcinogenic properties. To prevent nitrogen oxides from entering the environment, their inert treatment with nitrogen remains a very interesting direction. The article presents the results of RFA, DTA and other analyzes for the varieties of aluminum hydroxides available on the market, which are used for the production of catalyst carriers for the processing of nitrogen oxides. The structural and strength properties of samples made from raw aluminum hydroxide were evaluated, and the selection of raw aluminum hydroxide necessary for the creation of a stable high-temperature catalyst for the decomposition of nitrogen oxide in wide concentrations was made.en_US
